QuakeCon 2012 has been announced for August 2-5 in DALLAS, TX! In Ventrilo we have been discussing for the past month or two about MK getting together for QuakeCon. It would be pretty cool to LAN it up with our beloved internet friends. Last year was my first QuakeCon and it was the best weekend of my entire life. QuakeCon is the biggest LAN to ever exist. I usually describe it as the internet in real life. There are a plethora of cool nerds, copious amount of alcohol, awesome new game information/game trials [last year I played Tribes and Rage], contests that you can win tons of genuinely amazing stuff, and of course your fellow MKs. We want to get it set up to where we have a table dedicated to MK so we can pwn n00bz and have many lulz.
Registration isn't set yet and once it is Medick and I will most likely calculate the costs for the table [it won't be very much] and I'll be looking into the hotel room stuff [there was an extremely cheep but awesome hotel right next to the Anatole and if you book early even the Anatole can be pretty cheep]. And if any problems with hotel rooms happen I have 5 couches in my living room.
So book your plane tickets ASAP! [Obviously the sooner you book the cheaper it will be]!
